Family reunions always make me feel real happiness.
They always say that when you’re at the lowest point of your life, everyone could leave you but never your family. I agree to that. It’s not that I’m at my lowest point at present. Hindi yun. Ngayon ko lang kasi nafeel ulit yung kasiyahan with my family and relatives. Naks. Drama. Haha.
Anyway, my family spent our New Year at our province, Rosales Pangasinan. My titos and titas who are living in the States went home for vacation, and also for the two weddings which will happen during the vacation. Syempre, pag may balikbayan na relatives, may kasama yang mga pasalubong! Yipee. At ang dami. Funfun. Haha.
We went to province last Saturday and went home just yesterday. Last Saturday, we first fetched Tito Fruc, Tito Cris and his sons, Trent and Brett at the airport then went straight to Dampa Libis to have lunch. It was first unusual having them around again after two years, especially when you can really notice great changes in them. Trent got fatter, and I mean real fat. Haha. But eventually, we got comfortable around them. They just changed physically, but with the way they joke and tease us, walang pinagbago! Grabe. Haha.
After lunch, we started our travel going to Pangasinan. When we arrived there, you could really see how people there anticipated the arrival of my titos. Super daming tao sa bahay. Feeling artista lang kami. Haha.
The next day was Tito Donio’s wedding. I was a bridesmaid. The wedding was nice. It was a church wedding. The reception was held at our place (Maraña’s place). After the wedding, people still came in and out of the place. Btw, we slept at Tito Cris’s place since we don’t want to sleep at the other house. Nakakatakot kasi e. The other house is really the house of the whole Maraña family, which my lolo built years ago. When it was still newly built, I loved it. Coz it was big. Haha labo. It has eight rooms, I think. Pero nung tumagal na, nakakatakot na siya kasi wala ng masyadong maraming tao nagsstay dun, lalo na sa second floor. So yun.
During the evening, before New Year’s eve, there was a party held outside our house. It was a party for the people living around our place. At syempre, it was sponsored by my balikabayan tito, Tito Fruc. Iba na talaga ang dollars, bigay na lang ng bigay. Haha.
The party ended at around 11pm, just in time for New Year’s eve. Actually, we spent the night up until New Year’s eve just watching tv. It was quite boring. No, it was really boring. Haha. Buti nalang nung nag-twelve na, um-okay na. Nagpaputok yung mga pinsan at tito ko while we, the girls (haha), ate hot Sopas.
We slept at around 2am.
We already went home sa Cainta the next day at 1pm, right after having lunch. We had fun being with the whole Maraña family. Saya saya.
